Hoods and Covers For Pickling Plating and Processing Tanks and Other Applications

It is well known fact that a poorly designed and installed hood can make the total investment in the extraction system go waste.

Shivas Projects considers hoods as a vital part of any extraction or collection systems and have developed specialized hoods which had not only improved collection efficiency substantially on one hand but also helped to design fume extraction systems of lower capacity resulted reduced initial cost and lower overall power requirements.

We offer up right, downdraft, Side lateral, semi arch, lip types and canopy type’s hoods, on constant velocity Venturi principal.

The inlet of fume extracting hoods is either maintained under slight vacuum or the fumes are pushed into it by the forced draft of the additional blower. These fumes are passed through the scrubber tower. The suitable scrubbing liquid interacts with fume loaded gas flow in the scrubber to yield safe and clean effluent air to be exhausted through chimney via electrically driven exhaust fan.

Depending on working conditions Shivas Projects offer hoods and covers designed and manufactured in material of construction available to suit requirements and corrosion resistance , like PP ( Polypropylene), PVC (Polyvinyl chloride ) PVDF (Polyvinyl Dine Fluoride),FRP ( Fiberglass Reinforced plastic ), FRVE, SS etc.
Shivas Projects had mastered its skills of developing extra large sizes hoods and installed many of such type in large pulp and paper mills , bleaching lines , bleach washers etc.

Duct Work for Fume Gas Dust Exhaust Systems

The ducts produced made by Shivas Projects are ideal for conveying gases, corrosive fumes generated during processes in the chemical, metal treatment, pharmaceutical industries. These gases are particularly aggressive in their wet range, corrosive in nature and some times at elevated temperatures.

FRP,FRVE,FRB & its Dual laminates (composite construction) duct is much stronger, lighter and far superior to steel and aluminum duct under such operating conditions . Also offers superior acoustical qualities, equal air flow performance, and provides resistance to corrosion.

Other advantages include the compatibility and versatility of FRP & Dual laminates fittings when used for Fume Gas Exhaust Extraction Systems. Shivas Projects can manufacture any size or shape of ducts, fittings & accessory’s that process may require. All of our equipment is manufactured in house, giving us the ability to construct special fitting & shapes.

Stacks and chimneys made at Shivas Projects have been in service since many years, even erections done by us in 1991 are still intact and serving. Some of them are even designed to with stand corrosive gases up to 100 degree C and are impervious to severe weather. The systems are virtually unlimited in size and are maintenance free.

Dampers and Flexible connections

Dampers manufactured at Shivas Projects are useful to regulate a gas flow or shut off and isolate a system. The operating conditions for the dampers are designed to match the operating conditions of the duct system. It is available in the range of diameter from 100 mm to 2000 mm.

Flexible Connections are Designed and manufactured at Shivas Projects to isolate Blowers Fan Vibrations from rest of the gas fume exhaust or extraction system.
